First and foremost, I cannot say enough wonderful things about Scott Boyer's book, "TATTOOING AS YOU LIKE IT: THE LEGACY OF MILTON ZEIS". Not only are the tribute paintings fantastic, it's chalked full of amazing content about his life as a multifaceted personality and modern tattoo innovator. The layout and design is just as stunning as the content. By far one of the best books tattoo tribute books ever published. Hats off to Scott for all his hard work and diligence. Thanks so much for letting me be a part of this project. - Steven Turner. 300 beautiful pages and only $100. You'd be a fool not to add this to your collection. Order at: Yellow Beak Press

How about this? Let us draw your tattoo. The crap you pull up on Google image search is the worst. I know it's hard for you to understand, but we know what looks good. As original as you may think you are, getting a ton of lettering on your body isn't a tattoo... it's a bumper sticker. Get a tattoo that looks like a tattoo.

It's no surprise that we haven't updated our blog in a while. Here's a few tidbits of the goings-on at the old tat shack.
Steven Turner is featured in the new book from LLL Publishing entitled "2012, The End is Here". Many of the worlds most talented tattoo artist are featured in this publication and we highly recommend you check it out.
In other news, we will soon have a new crew member joining us here at Hell Bomb. Matt Scanlan from Pueblo, CO will be a permeant artist come March. We'll be updating the site with pictures of his work very soon. Until then, here's a preview of his amazing talents...

Truth be told, we've got a ton of new pic to post, but we're so goddamn busy tattooing that we don't really have the time to spend dicking around on the internet. Check out our Facebook page here for more recent work.

Finally, someone has taken the time to share the horribleness of riverfest with the rest of the world. Peopleofriverfest.com provides you with a true insight as to what the riverfest is all about... a bunch of fat, sunburned, poorly dressed idiots wandering around downtown Wichita. Most businesses of the downtown area would agree - this is truly an embarrassment. (at least it's funny)

Mr. Benjamin Siebert will moving to Austin, TX at the beginning of this summer. He'll be working with Jason Brooks at his shop, Great Wave Tattoo. We'll miss him dearly, but we're very excited for him and this amazing opportunity! If you have unfinished work from Ben, you still have time to catch him before he moves. This certainly will not be the last we'll see of him. Ben will be coming back up to Wichita to work periodically. Email him at firstname.lastname@example.org or come by the shop to set up future appointments. We wish Ben all the best and will miss working with one of the funnest guys on the planet!

Amongst the many tattoos that were put on here at Hell Bomb last week, a few of them were actually 'tattoos'! At least by a tattooers standard. It's refreshing to have customers who say, "Do your thing, man, I like your work.", and mean it. Take a lesson from these exceptions to the rule. Leave it to the experts... and you will never be dissapointed.
